Permanent Residency (PR) grants foreigners the ability to live, work, and study in Singapore without being subject to visa restrictions. PRs enjoy similar privileges to Singaporean citizens, such as access to public services, healthcare subsidies, and the ability to purchase property.

 

PRs also have higher priority for their children’s enrollment in local schools. Obtaining PR status requires an application through the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) and is often available to holders of Employment Passes, S Passes, and EntrePasses after a qualifying period.
